On Thursday, April 25th, the middle school soccer Lady Jags were faced against the Cougars. The game was very loud due to many supportive parents cheering on their children. The words that were usually yelled were, “Let’s go, UP!” and other phrases

In the first half of the game, it was very tense. The Cougars nearly made many goals but the Lady Jags fought back. The Lady Jags made one goal for the duration of the first half. Lady Jag’s defense was very strong in making sure the Cougars didn’t pass them up. During the first half, seventh grader Emily Lucero (#8) fell but she got up and kept on playing. When she was asked what she felt in the moment she fell and why she kept playing she said, “I was determined to keep playing and I wasn’t hurt by the fall so I told myself get up.”

In the second half of the game, it was clear who the winner was going to be. The Cougars fought and fought but their fighting would soon be over. The final score of the game was 3:0, the Lady Jags came out victorious. The entire crowd screamed in excitement very excited that they had won. At the end of a game, just like any other, they gave out high fives to the other team to show good sportsmanship.
