On Monday, April 1st, a week after spring break, the students at University Prep were not expecting to come back to find graffiti on the storage containers by the field. The incident was covered up, but this was not the last of the graffiti.

On Thursday, April 4th, when students arrived at school, they spotted another set of graffiti on the brick wall by the dirt marking the area of the school. Unlike the first set of graffiti that just contained initials, this one was much more disrespectful and contained an inappropriate picture.

The next graffiti was found on the same day displaying the word “torture” in red. This graffiti was located on the school’s nameplate in front of the school. Like the other sets of graffiti, it was covered up hours after it was found.

When interviewing Mrs. Hatcher about the graffiti, she stated that “We currently do not know who did the graffiti.” During morning announcements on Thursday morning, Mrs. Hatcher said, “I don’t know what the problem is with graffiti this year, but it needs to stop.”

If you have any information concerning the graffiti, please contact Ms. Hatcher at the front office.
