Hosted at Excelsior Charter School on November 15, 2018, at 5:00 pm, the University Prep Lady Jags beat the Excelsior Eagles 61 to 33 on Thursday’s non-conference game.

Suffering an eye injury in the first half, Jazmyn Davis, 12, was forced to take out her contact lenses after it ripped inside her eye when she was accidentally poked by a member of the opposite team. Consequently, Davis’s vision was impaired for the rest of the game. Even though she couldn’t see as well as before, she still scored the most points of the game, scoring 25 of the 61 points the Lady Jags earned.

With the team’s encouragement, and help from their coach, Mrs.Coates, Davis was able to keep up the hard work until the end of the game and help the Lady Jags to victory.
