UP TO DATE: Feb. 15-19

Scarlett Price, Janelle White, and Leslie Tello

Please continue to send in your college acceptances to Mrs. Petruschin (and the counselors office) so we can include them in the announcements! If you send us a picture, we will feature it with your announcement, as well.  (Janelle White)

CC: First, to start off, we have some really good news. While a return to athletics is still up in the air, the sports of Cross Country and Golf are going to happen. Athletic Packets and physicals must be turned in before anyone can participate.  Baseball and softball also will have a strong probability to start in mid-February so packets and physicals must be turned in ASAP.  The other sports are on hold at this time. [With things changing so quickly though, having paperwork turned in is always a bonus.]

CC: This Wednesday, February 17 from 1-2 PM,  there will be a seniors-only pep rally hosted by Save a Generation, and next Wednesday, February 24 from 1-2 PM they will host a schoolwide pep rally, as well. Join in on the fun and you may win prizes!

CC: For January’s Student of the Month winners we have seventh grader Kyla McFarlin, eighth grader Valentina Pacheco, ninth grader Declan Tess, tenth grader Angelica Baclig, eleventh grader Nathan Huynh, and twelfth grader Zachary Martin.

CC: Also, we have a message from the Interact Club. If you have books you’d like to donate that are aged for kinder through third grade students, please send them a message. You can contact interact club either on instagram (@up.interact), their email, ([email protected]), or on remind (code @inter-up).

CC: Help Save a Life! On March 26 from 8 am -2 pm there will be a blood drive in the MPR.  You must be at least 16 years old to donate, and if you are under 17, you will need to send your signed parent permission slip to [email protected]

[See the class of Google Classrooms for more information. Participants must strictly adhere to all state and local safety requirements. Masks are required to be worn at all times, and social distancing guidelines must be followed. To ensure that we don’t have any problems with crowds, appointments are mandatory. To sign up, go to redcross.org, use zip code 92392, and enter the sponsor code: Jaguars. We welcome parents and community members who are willing to give blood in these trying times.]
